REGISTRATION Payment is required to place your name on the roster of your desired class.Your registration Payment MUST be sent with your application. This is a non-refundable payment and is not included as part of your tuition.
Full payment is due no later than ONE week prior to the start of your scheduled class to insure your position in that class.
If paying with a credit card, (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover/Novus), you may pay for both classes on one transaction.
Students paying electronically by credit card: Payments must be made through Certified Payments at www.certifiedpayments.net (Please be aware there is a 4% courtesy fee for each transaction.)

- Important Information
A current CPR card will be needed for EMT-Basic class at a charge of $30.00 for the CPR course
National Registry Test ($70.00 will be paid online)
Texas Department of Health Certification ($50.00) will be made to the state upon completion of the National Registry Test
- Tuition does not include uniforms, books or protective clothing (each student must bring or Rent NFPA approved clothing).Used firefighting gear is acceptable. (Must pass inspection and be NFPA 1971 - 2007 Edition as of March 1, 2007).
- Each student will be required to contribute dues for meals at the Fire Station. A fee will be assessed for damages to the Fire House. (Fire only)
- Students are required to purchase uniforms and books.
- Students must maintain a 80% GPA throughout the class. Students failing to maintain a 80% GPA will be terminated from the class with no refund.
- Students terminated for academic deficiencies will be allowed to apply for reinstatement in a later class. Reinstatement cost is $400.00. Reinstatement will be allowed once without full tuition being due.
Tuition Refund Policy
- Students withdrawing from the course prior to the first day of class will receive their tuition payment less $150.00 for administrative fees.
- Students withdrawing during the first week of class will get 50% refund.
- After the first week of class, no refund will be issued.
- Students dismissed for unprofessional behavior, or for violation of any section of the Fire/EMS policy will not receive any portion of the tuition payment.
Financial Aid
NORTHEAST TEXAS FIRE/EMS TRAINING ACADEMY is not providing Federal financial aid for the Fire/EMS Training Program. However other opportunities are available.
